Canton man held without bail in DPW worker's murder

Rayquon Brown, 29, of Canton was arraigned July 13 in Cambridge District Court and held without bail on charges including murder, carrying a firearm without a license, and conspiring to commit murder in the July 4 death of DPW worker Xavier Bautista. According to Middlesex DA Marian Ryan and Police Commissioner Pauline Wells, Bautista was confronted by multiple masked men near Norfolk and Broadway streets around 4 a.m. and shot; investigators identified Brown and his vehicle as present during the shooting. His next court date is July 17.
