Cambridge holds community meeting on fatal July 4 shooting

City and county officials hold a community meeting tonight from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Cambridge Senior Center, 806 Massachusetts Avenue, to share the latest on the fatal July 4 shooting of Xavier Bautista, a 32-year-old Cambridge resident, near Broadway and Norfolk Street. Representatives from the Mayor's Office, City Manager's Office, Police Department, City Council, Middlesex District Attorney's Office and public health providers will answer questions and connect residents with support resources. The investigation remains active; anyone with information can contact State Police at (781) 897-6600 or the anonymous Cambridge Police tip hotline at 617-349-3359.
