Harvard Square Plaza Construction Enters New Phase Today

Beginning Monday, July 6, Newport Construction starts a new phase of Harvard Square Plaza work extending into the Mass. Ave. bike lane near the Kiosk, with the lane closure expected to last about two months. Initial work includes excavation, curb reset, electrical pole base installation, conduit work, and concrete foundations. 'Share the Road' signage and temporary pedestrian detours will be in place, and access to the Kiosk will be maintained; general work hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
