Nor'easter waves strip sand from Long Beach seawall
Sunday's high tide left the rip rap exposed along the Long Beach seawall after three days of storm conditions, and the August shelf of sand is gone. All access staircases remained intact, and the tides met the wall with little splash-over. Yard furniture and planters at the front-row cottages appeared undisturbed, and the pea stone pathway held.
