Manship residency unveils six-decade David Hockney show

The Manship Artists Residency's "Hockney Reproduction(s)," curated by Bing McGilvray, opened September 11 and examines David Hockney's six-decade fascination with reproducing and transmitting his work through emerging technologies. The show gathers prints, books, multi-page faxes, photographs and more than 90 posters, tracing his use of photocopiers, fax machines, computers, iPhones, iPads and multi-screen videos. Works come from McGilvray's collection, other private collectors, the David Hockney Foundation (UK) and Salts Mill in Yorkshire.
