Council Pauses Marian Center Work, Reviews DPW Nominee

At its September 29 meeting, the City Council paused renovations at the former Marian High School community center pending funding and reviewed Mayor Charlie Sisitsky's nomination of Eric Johnson as DPW director. A vote on the nomination is set for October 6. Councilors also discussed a difficult budget outlook, TJX-related zoning changes and a deferred stop sign at Grant and Howard streets.
