Report Flags $6 Million in Unpaid Framingham Water Bills
A report published September 29 on the September 22 City Council Finance Subcommittee meeting cites about $6 million in late, uncollected water and sewer bill payments and a projected $10 million FY28 budget gap it attributes to chronic revenue shortfalls. The report also says tenants' water and sewer costs run double those of homeowners. It credits new CFO Brian Turbitt and City Council Financial Analyst Brian Kinahan with raising the issues, and it covers FY2027 budget cuts and plans to start FY2028 budget planning earlier.
