Boston Legacy FC pushes White Stadium debut to 2028
Boston Legacy FC will play its 2027 NWSL season at Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket, R.I., where it has played since May, before moving into a renovated White Stadium in 2028, Boston.com reported Thursday. The delay comes despite a state Supreme Judicial Court ruling that cleared the way for the city and the club to complete the $325 million public-private renovation, a project slowed by a yearslong lawsuit and criticized over its scale and rising cost. "While it may be taking longer than we all would have hoped," controlling owner Jennifer Epstein said, "it's worth the wait."
