MassDOT closes the northbound left lane of the Bowker Viaduct between the Boylston Street intersection and Storrow Drive starting this morning, with the closure expected to remain in place until the end of the year. Vehicular barriers and a fixed work zone went in beginning Sunday night; barriers were also installed along the southbound left lane, though southbound travel lanes are not reduced. The work is part of an $84 million project to replace the Bowker Overpass bridge over I-90, and drivers should expect delays through the area.
