Lafayette paraprofessional Jeffrey Gomez honored for Latino excellence
Lafayette School paraprofessional Jeffrey Gomez was honored Sept. 30 at the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus’s Latino Excellence on the Hill Awards. He works with special-education students in kindergarten classrooms and was nominated by Lafayette Principal Janet Taylor.

Library hosts teen music class and monthlong Adopt-a-Ghost activity
The library will host a music class for ages 10–14 today, October 1, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Parlin Meeting Room; no experience is required. The Parlin and Shute libraries are also hosting a monthlong Adopt-a-Ghost activity.

A 10-week art class series begins today, October 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Everett High School. Classes meet Thursdays through December 10 and cost $75 per person.
