Arrest warrant issued in Vassar Street scooter hit-and-run

Cambridge police identified a suspect Wednesday and obtained an arrest warrant in the July 9 hit-and-run on Vassar Street that seriously injured a 12-year-old girl. Investigators say the operator was riding an e-scooter and wearing a teal green t-shirt and black shorts at the time; the charges include assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury and leaving the scene of personal injury. Police say they are still trying to locate him and ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 617-349-3300.
