Cambridge biotech Apnimed files for $160M IPO
Apnimed, a Cambridge-based biotech developing oral therapies for obstructive sleep apnea, has filed an S-1 with the SEC for a $160 million initial public offering. The company plans to offer 10 million shares priced between $14 and $16, netting roughly $134.6 million at the midpoint. Its lead candidate, AD109 (known as Oxnimbi), is designed to boost neuromuscular activity that keeps the upper airway open during sleep, targeting a condition estimated to affect 80 million Americans ages 30-69.
