MIT professor dies from injuries in Aug. 21 bike crash
MIT Assistant Professor Thomas Rose, 37, died Sept. 2 at Massachusetts General Hospital from injuries suffered in an Aug. 21 crash between his bicycle and a motor vehicle at Memorial Drive East and Massachusetts Avenue. State Police, Cambridge police and Cambridge fire crews responded to the roughly 6 a.m. collision, and the driver remained on scene. The Middlesex District Attorney's office calls it an active and ongoing investigation, and Cambridge Bicycle Safety is renewing calls for fixes at the intersection.
