MBTA starts bus-lane camera warning period
The MBTA began an educational-notice period Oct. 1 for cameras monitoring vehicles blocking bus lanes or bus stops on Silver Line routes 4 and 5, which run through Chinatown and Downtown. Ticketing is scheduled to begin Jan. 1, 2027.

Suspect charged with murder in Whitfield Street homicide
A suspect has been charged with murder in the investigation of a Sept. 30 shooting at 7 Whitfield St. in Dorchester. Police said officers found the victim with an apparent gunshot wound.
