Five-Alarm Fire Hits Warren Street Building in Roxbury

A fire that began shortly after 7:30 a.m. Monday at 72 Warren St. in Roxbury, a two-story building that houses several businesses, reached five alarms. Firefighters worked from outside the building, with engines drawing water from as far as Moreland Street, and officials asked the public to avoid the Dudley and Nubian Square area while several surrounding streets were blocked. No injuries had been reported, and there were no details yet on the cause or the extent of damage.
