Bullet Tears Through Dorchester Kitchen in Near Miss

Samuel Roisten says he was returning home with his uncle and daughter around 8:30 p.m. Sunday when a bang sent a bullet through his kitchen window, striking the wall near his refrigerator at head height. Police responded within minutes and searched for two people on a moped dressed in black and wearing surgical masks, recovering 11 shell casings in a courtyard about 150 feet away; the suspects were not found. Glass was still on the floor Wednesday afternoon, and Roisten told Boston 25 that violence in the neighborhood is "constant."
