SRA Selects Wood Partners for 90 Washington Street Development

The Somerville Redevelopment Authority voted Monday night to move forward with Wood Partners to develop the four-acre parcel at 90 Washington Street near the East Somerville MBTA station, which has been up for grabs since January. Wood Partners was the only proposal left after the other firm in the running, North River Partners, dropped out at the end of June, citing an inability to meet the project's goals while delivering the returns its investors wanted. Senior Planner Ben Demer said he was disappointed the board did not have two options to choose from.
