Lebanese Pita Pocket reports hateful calls to both locations
Lebanese Pita Pocket said Thursday that its locations at 519 State Road in North Dartmouth and 275 Martine Street in Fall River received hateful phone calls directed at the business "because we are a Lebanese/Middle Eastern Restaurant and serve halal food." In a social media statement, the restaurant called the situation "heartbreaking" and said serving its heritage's food "should never be a reason for anyone to receive hate or discrimination." The restaurant thanked customers for their support.
