Town Approves Controlled Bow Hunt on Conservation Lands

The Natural Resources Commission unanimously approved a controlled bow hunt on Town conservation land at Barrett's Mill Farm, Harrington Park, Kaveski Field and Peter Spring Field, running October 5 through December 31 to reduce significant deer damage to crops. All trails at or near the hunting areas will remain open. A limited number of lottery-selected hunters may hunt does only, Monday through Friday, from a half hour before sunrise to 10 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to a half hour after sunset, at least 100 feet from trails.
