Middlesex School announces bequest projected above $200 million

Middlesex School announced Saturday that a bequest from the late Victor Atkins, a member of the class of 1963, is projected to have a long-term impact of more than $200 million, the largest gift in the school's history. The school has received about 40% of the donation from the Atkins estate, and the rest will come to the Lowell Road boarding and day school over time through an irrevocable trust. Atkins previously gave about $50 million toward an athletic center, dormitory, and field house that bear his family name.
