Umbrella Stage Company Opens 'Bat Boy: The Musical'

Umbrella Stage Company begins preview performances of the cult horror-comedy 'Bat Boy: The Musical' Friday at 7:30 p.m. at The Umbrella Arts Center, 40 Stow Street. The run continues through November 8. Jeremy Johnson directs the show, which has music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe. Umbrella Arts recommends it for mature audiences, teens and up, and notes simulated violent and sexual acts, gunshot sounds, theatrical haze and strobe-like lighting.
