Former MCI site plan doubles retail, trims parking
Town consultants unveiled a revised redevelopment concept for the former MCI-Concord site, roughly doubling possible retail space to about 100,000 square feet in deeper buildings around a neighborhood core, up from 25,000-50,000 square feet in June's first draft. The new layout also proposes less parking than the earlier version, new traffic approaches and up to 1,000 housing units. Construction could be years away, but the zoning question that will shape what gets built could go before Town Meeting voters in May.
