Hayden wins Suffolk DA Democratic primary

Incumbent Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden defeated Rachael Rollins and Linda Champion in Tuesday's Democratic primary, keeping the county's top prosecutor post. The Associated Press called the race around midnight with about 56 percent of ballots counted, with Hayden holding nearly 51 percent of the vote. The contest was one of two district attorney primaries on the state ballot, alongside Norfolk County.
