Election Department issues primary reminders, seeks poll workers

The Boston Election Department says early voting for the Sept. 1 state primary runs Saturday, Aug. 22 through Friday, Aug. 28 at sites across the city, and the voter registration deadline is also Aug. 22 — 5 p.m. in person at City Hall, 11:59 p.m. online at voteinma.com, or postmarked by mail that day. The primary sets the ballot for the Nov. 3 state election. The department is also recruiting paid poll workers, with stipends of $160-$200 plus pay for required training; residents can request a location near home, and bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged.
