A Cambridge officer fatally shot a man near Temple Street on the night of Aug. 21 after responding to a report of suspicious activity in a parking lot. The Middlesex DA's office identified him Aug. 24 as William Woodworth, 64, of Watertown, saying he allegedly pointed a gun at officers; the investigation and body-camera review are ongoing.
