Cambridge Historical Commission Hosts Open Archives Today
The Cambridge Historical Commission holds its free annual Open Archives event Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Joan Lorentz Park, 449 Broadway, outside the Main Library. Archivists from 10 repositories will be on hand, including the Schlesinger Library, the Cambridge Black History Project, the City Clerk's Office, MIT Libraries' Distinctive Collections and Mt. Auburn Cemetery. The program, themed "Evolving Landscapes," also includes scavenger hunts with prizes, crafts and exhibits for all ages; questions go to histcomm@cambridgema.gov.
