Burlington Wins $74,819 Grant for Terrace Hall Tree Planting
Burlington has received a $74,819 state grant for the Terrace Hall Cooling project, which will plant 40 trees to expand tree canopy in the Terrace Hall area, including at Francis Wyman Elementary School, the industrial A and B Streets, and the surrounding residential area. Conservation Administrator Eileen Coleman credited the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs for the award, saying it will help create a cooler neighborhood. The town has set a public information meeting on the project for Oct. 7.
