Red Devils Football Shuts Out Lexington 48-0 in Home Opener
Burlington High's football team opened its home season Thursday night with a dominant 48-0 win over rival Lexington. Other results were mixed: girls' volleyball split against Melrose, with JV taking its match 2-1 for the team's first win of the year while freshman and varsity both fell in straight sets, and field hockey lost 3-0 to Melrose at both the JV and varsity levels. Three programs were home Friday, with boys' golf hosting Reading Memorial, boys' soccer hosting Whittier Regional and girls' soccer hosting Arlington Catholic.
