Braintree High updates athletic eligibility rules for 2026-27

Braintree High School has a new sports eligibility policy for the 2026-27 school year. Students may not fail or lose credit in more than one class, replacing the old rule that required passing five major classes with a 70% average. Administrators said the previous standard was stricter than in neighboring districts and put some students at a disadvantage, and that the new rule ties attendance more clearly to eligibility.
