Crisis-intervention training continues at police station

A Crisis Intervention Team training that began Monday continues today from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Braintree Police Department, running again Sept. 23, 28 and 29. The 40-hour program for law enforcement covers mental illness, special populations, communication tactics, suicide and safety risk assessment, local community resources, officer wellness and de-escalation practice. Guest presenters include staff from the Department of Mental Health, Boston Medical Center, Vinfen, Father Bill's & MainSpring and mobile crisis intervention teams.
