Nor'easter raises concern about trees and power lines

A nor'easter this weekend could bring damaging winds and rain to coastal Massachusetts communities, raising concerns about downed trees and power outages. With leaves still on the trees, deciduous trees such as maples are especially vulnerable to breaking branches, according to Bartlett Tree Experts arborist Jack Ingram. Eversource says it is monitoring the forecast and preparing to increase staffing, though flooding and closed roads could keep crews from reaching some repairs.
