Beverly Middle School cleared after accidental lockdown trigger
An automatic lockdown was triggered at Beverly Middle School on Tuesday afternoon by what Superintendent Peter Cushing called "an accidental initiation of the safety system." Beverly police and school officials cleared all classrooms under standard protocol despite the false alarm. Cushing told the school community that all students are safe and there was no threat to the school, staff or students.
