Salem Man Arrested in Connection with Murder on Cabot Street

Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker and Salem Police Chief Lucas Miller said officers responded to a well-being check Tuesday night and found a 42-year-old woman dead on Cabot Street. A 50-year-old Salem man sought in connection with her death was found in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on Wednesday and arrested; he was expected to be arraigned there on a fugitive from justice charge before facing a murder charge in Salem District Court on Thursday. The woman's identity was being withheld pending next-of-kin notification, and no cause of death had been indicated as of Wednesday night.
