Two Water Main Breaks Reported on Long and Frederick Streets

DPW crews responded Wednesday, Sept. 23, to water main breaks on Long Avenue between Howard and Garden streets and at 29 Frederick Street. Customers at 23 through 60 Long Ave. faced a temporary water shutoff during repairs expected to take a few hours, and all of Frederick Street was to lose service once crews moved there. If water looks discolored after repairs, run cold water, ideally from a bathtub, for a few minutes until it runs clear.
