Demetrios Pseudoikonomou, 55, of Belmont was arrested Wednesday and charged with eight counts of aiding the filing of false tax returns, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts. Prosecutors allege he failed to report business and rental income, costing about $1.6 million in taxes. The charges are allegations; the case has not been tried.
