Belmont Middle School teacher pleads not guilty to CSAM charges
Leon T. Dyer, 45, a longtime Belmont Middle School teacher, pleaded not guilty in Cambridge District Court to two counts of possessing child sexual abuse material, with bail set at $7,500. Prosecutors said the case stems from two searches of his devices after Google flagged files to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in January; a Middlesex assistant district attorney said Dyer initially reported his accounts had been hacked but later admitted downloading the images. He is due back in court Sept. 17.
