Belmont Middle School Teacher Due in Court Today on Abuse Material Charges

Leon Dyer, 45, a Belmont Middle School technology teacher, is scheduled for arraignment today in Cambridge District Court on two counts of possessing child sexual abuse material following a July 25 arrest by State and Belmont Police. Superintendent Jill Geiser said the district has no information suggesting Dyer engaged in inappropriate conduct with BPS students or on BPS property, and that he is barred from school property with his technology accounts suspended. The investigation remains active.
