State report: BPS improperly spent $857K in public funds
A Massachusetts Inspector General report released Wednesday found Boston Public Schools spent more than $857,000 improperly between 2018 and 2024, hiring vendors without valid contracts or the required competitive bidding and then devising a workaround to pay them later.
