Massachusetts tax-free weekend ends tonight

Massachusetts' sales tax holiday runs Saturday and Sunday, suspending the 6.25% sales tax on most eligible retail items priced at $2,500 or less bought for personal use. Meals, motor vehicles, alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, gas and electricity remain taxable, as do purchases by businesses or for business use. Online orders count if they are placed and paid for during the holiday, even if delivery comes later; layaway sales do not qualify.
