An outage that began around noon Thursday affected computers at more than 12 Mass General Brigham hospitals; systems began coming back online that evening. The network said patient care continued, some elective outpatient procedures were affected, and the outage was not a cyberattack.

Brigham nurses and hospital reach no deal before planned Oct. 14 strike

After more than 11 hours of bargaining Thursday, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Massachusetts Nurses Association ended without an agreement. An open-ended strike is scheduled to begin Oct. 14 if they do not resolve the dispute.
