D-4 reports 4% drop in major crime through Sept. 20
Boston Police reported 2,298 Part One crime incidents in District D-4 (Back Bay, South End, Lower Roxbury, Fenway) through Sept. 20, a 4% decrease from the same period in 2025. Rapes and robberies saw significant reductions, though domestic aggravated assaults rose 23%. The district's total remains 5% above its five-year average.
