Boston Symphony musicians, management agree to contract extension

Boston Symphony Orchestra musicians and management agreed Sunday to a two-day extension of the contract that was set to expire that night, averting a strike due to begin at midnight. BSO president and CEO Chad Smith said he looks forward to "your continued support and engagement during this period." The extension leaves the underlying contract unresolved.
