Downtown Boston boosts police patrols after crime surge

Boston has increased police presence and anti-theft operations downtown following a recent spike in violence, including a murder on Boston Common. Residents and business owners say robberies, shoplifting and drug dealing remain an ongoing problem and want the city to do more. Downtown Boston Neighborhood Association co-founder Rishi Shukla told WBUR's Up Next that the city is responding to their pleas for help.
