Arlington Center for the Arts Names Mary-Liz Murray Executive Director

The Arlington Center for the Arts' Board of Directors unanimously selected Mary-Liz Murray as executive director on Sept. 15, following an extensive search; she begins Saturday, Sept. 19. A Greater Boston native, Murray has more than 15 years in the nonprofit sector spanning professional and community theater, museums, public art, higher education and fundraising. She succeeds a predecessor who led the organization for seven years and said she plans to build on the group's nearly four decades in town while expanding ways residents can take part in the arts.
