Crosby Court Reconstruction Begins with Fencing, Demolition Prep

Temporary fencing goes up at Crosby Court this week, with demolition and renovation to follow through the summer and fall; the area will be closed until the work is finished in late fall. Contractor Quirk Construction will rebuild the site with four tennis courts, two of them lined to create four pickleball courts, plus a basketball court lined for futsal and a tennis hitting wall. The project follows the 2023 Athletic Court Needs Assessment and a 2025 community input process, and is funded through the Community Preservation Act.

100 Arlington Riders and Volunteers Join Pan-Mass Challenge

About 76 riders and 24 volunteers from Arlington took part in the Aug. 1-2 Pan-Mass Challenge bike-a-thon benefiting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The Arlington Angels team named 6-year-old Tyler Bolger its 2026 Pedal Partner, and a veteran Arlington police officer completed his final PMC ride after 14 years.
