Arlington High School Mourns Loss of Class of 2028 Student

Principal Matthew Janger confirmed the death of Arlington High School student Ian Sotelo Newhall, a member of the Class of 2028, in a letter to the school community on July 24. The Counseling Suite opened for drop-in support this week, with counselors, social workers, and mental health team members available, and additional support will continue through the summer and into the school year. Janger asked community members to avoid speculation or sharing unverified information online out of respect for the family's privacy.
