Minuteman Bikeway detours in effect as Red Line shutdown continues

A section of the Minuteman Bikeway between Linwood Street and Lake Street near Spy Pond will close today from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to repair bumps and other defects, with traffic detoured to Massachusetts Avenue and no parking on Linwood Street. The work comes as the MBTA Red Line remains shut down between Alewife and Park Street for 10 days, with the town encouraging commuters to use the bike paths as an alternative into Cambridge and Boston. The rain date is Friday.
