Capitol Theatre building listed for $12M as part of three-property sale

The building housing East Arlington's six-screen Capitol Theatre was listed July 9 as part of a $12 million, three-property portfolio that also includes the Somerville Theatre and a Davis Square apartment building. The Capitol, which marked its 100th anniversary in 2025, anchors a mixed-use property at 202-218 Mass. Ave. that also houses Otto pizza, Quebrada Baking Co., Maxima Gift Center, Continentale hair salon, and Derby Farms Flowers, with apartments above. Theater operators say the building owner is retiring, but with multi-year lease agreements in place they are cautiously optimistic little will change in the short term.
