Early voting opens, registration deadline hits for state primary

In-person early voting for the Sept. 1 State Primary opens Saturday, Aug. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Town Offices, 36 Bartlet St., and runs through Aug. 28. Saturday is also the deadline to register to vote or change party enrollment, with the Board of Registrars holding extended hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; residents may also register online at RegisterToVoteMA.com. Primary voters will pick Democratic and Republican nominees for offices including U.S. senator, governor, attorney general, secretary of state and district attorney.
