Boston Issues Coastal Storm Warning, Reschedules Zero Waste Day to Nov. 21
Mayor Michelle Wu has issued a coastal storm warning for Boston from Friday through Sunday for what she called a rare fall nor'easter, with the peak expected Friday evening into Saturday. Forecasters call for two to four inches of rain, high damaging winds and possible ponding on roadways, and residents are urged to stay indoors during the peak. The city has moved the Sept. 26 Zero Waste Drop-Off Day to Nov. 21, and residents can sign up for AlertBoston updates in 11 languages.
